Grammar note

“Perfekt” is a loanword from Latin, spelled and used almost identically to English “perfect”. As a predicate adjective (“ist perfekt”) it takes no ending; as an attributive adjective before a noun it does (“die perfekte Lösung”).

Common mistake

Don't forget the ending when “perfekt” comes before a noun — “die perfekte Lösung” (the perfect solution), not “die perfekt Lösung”.
