Grammar note
“Sehr” is an adverb and doesn't change. It comes right before the adjective or adverb it modifies: “sehr gut”, “sehr schnell”.
Common mistake
Don't use “sehr” before a noun. For “a very good book”, the adjective takes an ending and “sehr” sits before it: “ein sehr gutes Buch”.
