Grammar note

“Ohne” always takes Akkusativ, part of the same fixed group as “durch”, “für”, “gegen” and “um”. After “ohne”, articles often drop for uncountable nouns: “Kaffee ohne Zucker” (no “den”).

Common mistake

Don't add “mit” for emphasis when you mean “without” — “ohne” already means “without” on its own; “mit ohne” is not standard German, even though some regional speech uses it informally.
