gehen
Meaning: to go
Formal or informal? “Gehen” means to go on foot or in general. For travelling by a vehicle, use “fahren”.

I'm going home now.
Wohingehstdu?
Where are you going?
ErgehtamAbendinsKino.
He goes to the cinema in the evening.
Grammar note
Regular endings: ich gehe, du gehst, er geht, wir gehen. Use “gehen” with “nach” and “in” for places, as in “nach Hause” and “ins Kino”.
Common mistake
Don't say “ich gehe mit dem Bus”. Use “fahren” for vehicles, so “ich fahre mit dem Bus” is correct. “Gehen” is for walking.
