Formal or informal? “Frühling” is spring. “Das Frühjahr” is also used in some regions, but “Frühling” is the standard word.

Grammar note
“Der Frühling” is masculine, so it takes “der” and “ein”. For “in spring” use “im Frühling”, the dative of “in dem”.

Don't use “Frühstück” (breakfast) by mistake. It starts with the same letters but means breakfast, and “der Frühling” is the season.
