“Besuchen” is a regular verb: “ich besuche”, “du besuchst”, “er/sie/es besucht”. It takes a direct object without a preposition: “ich besuche dich”, not “ich besuche zu dir”.
Common mistake
Don't confuse “besuchen” (to visit) with “versuchen” (to try) — they look alike but share no meaning.
