Formal or informal? “Tisch” is table. A table for a restaurant reservation is also “ein Tisch”, as in “ein Tisch für zwei”.

Grammar note
“Der Tisch” is masculine, so it takes “der” and “ein”. The plural is “die Tische”, with -e added. “Auf dem Tisch” means on the table, with the dative “dem”.
Common mistake
Don't say “die Tisch”. The article is “der Tisch”, masculine. For motion say “an den Tisch”, with the accusative “den”, and for location “am Tisch”.
